My 100th Deviation!!!!!!

I managed to snag this piece from :iconstevensanchez: and I wanted to color it. He's a damn good artist and draws a very sexy Mystique. I hope I did it justice. :D

I'll post some more stuff soon I think. Mass Effect 2 has been consuming my life.

Hey Chris. I was really trying to do a color similar to this one with the cuts and feathering, but I don't feel it was successful...[link]

How did you pull of such a technique successfully? You are probably using a tablet as well and that may be my down fall. Do you think it's possible to do something similar with a mouse?

You're right, I do use a tablet. I also use a few different shaped brushes at varying opacities and sizes. Don't let just having a mouse discourage you, Adam Hughes does all his coloring with a mouse and he's light years better than me. Don't be afraid to try new things and step outside your comfort zone. Right now, it's important that you enjoy what you're doing, not stress over the final end product. That will come much much later.

I'm definitely enjoying the art of coloring, I guess I gotta learn to note be so hard on myself. I'm just pushing myself really hard... But I gotta get a tablet. Adam Hughes still uses a MOUSE!!! Wow!!
